Rust-O-Guard Rust Preventative

is a paraffin-like material can be sprayed or brushed on steel forms to prevent the formation or rust and corrosion on forms in storage, either outside or inside. It can be easily removed with solvent and wiping it off. Available in 1, 5, and 55 gallon drums.

APPLICATION


Methods:

  • Rust-O-Guard must be agitated or stirred thoroughly before use and occasionally during use.
  • It should be applied by roller, mop, brush, or any conventional method so that surfaces are coated well.
  • It applies easiest at temperatures above 50° F.
  • Application equipment should be cleaned after use with solvent.
  • When forms are put back into service, Rust-O-Guard can be easily removed using naptha, diesel fuel, or other solvent and wiping it off. Forms are then ready for the release agent.

 

MAINTENANCE

Storage:

  • Rust-O-Magic Rust Preventative will keep indefinitely in sealed containers.
  • It must be stirred between each use.

Coverages:

  • On smooth, non-porous surfaces – 500 sq. Ft./Gal.
  • On semi-porous surfaces  – 300 Sq. Ft./Gal.

Precautions:

Keep out of reach of children. Do not take internally. Do not use near fire or open flame. Use with adequate ventilation and avoid prolonged contact with skin.

Basic Use:

Rust-O-Guard is a rust-preventative material that is applied to steel forms to prevent the formation of rust and corrosion on forms in storage, either outside or inside. It also waterproofs wood forms in storage. Protection time is 6 to 8 months.
