Cobra™ 212 Metalcasting Release

metal cast parts Release Agent for Green Sand Metalcasting Foundry

COBRA™ 212 is a ready to use flammable release agent that can be used in a wide variety of core making operations. Manufactured with high quality ingredients, COBRA™ 212 provides excellent lubrication and release with minimal build up on the pattern. Practical areas of use include processes that disallow water-containing products and when flammability is not a concern.

Use Recommendations

COBRA™ 212 has seen usage and success in the areas of Catalyzed Resin/Sand Molding. The release will be affected by usage rates and intricacy of the core produced. Generally, the release agent can be applied using conventional spraying equipment such as an airless sprayer, a pressurized canister type sprayer or a molders mouth sprayer. In the latter instance it may be necessary to reduce the airflow in the inlet orifice of the container. Due to the flammability of COBRA™ 212, care should be taken when handling and applying this product.
