Shrink porosity can also be reduced by metal pressure.
"With the high pressure die casting process, we use intensification in all of these processes whether it's called the whole time in zinc, whether it's intensification in aluminum and magnesium, we're using those high pressure features to fill those voids.
We fill the cold chamber, we go through pore hole close, slow shot, fast shot, then we go into our intensification phase. Then we enter into our intensification phase prior to the gates becoming solid. We're filling voids. Those voids start to develop as shrink occurs and we're then increasing the pressure of the metal to fill past those thin areas and feed that shrink.
