Economical Oil-based Plunger Lubricant for Diecasting Foundry
Plunger Lube™ 649 is a non-graphic, oil-based lubricant. By incorporating performance-enhancing additives, it provides good lubrication and is non-corrosive. Quality and consistency are assured at Hill and Griffith where lubricants are formulated directly from basic raw materials (no pre-mixed additives are purchased). Economical Plunger Lube™ 649 is recommended for operations where a higher degree of cleanliness is desired and the presence of graphite residue is detrimental to manufacturing operations. It can be applied either by swabbing or spraying for maximum simplicity and ease. The product is shipped ready to use, with no further mixing required.
Plunger Lube™ 649 is compatible with many other plunger lubes and additives. If it is mixed with another lube, the additives within either lube can separate out due to incompatibility. Any mixture with other materials should be thoroughly checked before it is put into factory use.
Plunger Lube™ 649 can be used as received. For ease of transfer, maintain between 40 degrees and 80 degrees Fahrenheit and rotate the stock in such manner that the oldest drums are used first. Under these common operating procedures, Plunger Lube™ 649 may be your most efficient lubricant choice for most operations.
