SYSCON Sensors MXT is an expendable, multi-use, non-splash and high precision thermocouple tip. It is suited for a wide range of molten metals - Iron, Steel, Copper, Bronze, and Aluminum. The MXT tip fits securely on a SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld Digital Pyrometer and other industry standard equipment.

The specially formulated, ceramic, non-splash sleeve is designed to eliminate splashing and resist slag adhesion, extending the number of dips. The aluminum foil on the cardboard tube adds extra protection and enables more readings per MXT, reducing overall cost. The unique combination of ceramic fiber, aluminum foil, and the high-density paper tube keeps the contact block and lead wire cooler.
SYSCON Sensors SUL is an expendable, single-use, and high precision thermocouple tip. SULs are suited for a wide range of molten metals - Iron, Steel, Copper, Bronze, and Aluminum. The SUL tip does not need any special accessories and fits snugly on SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld Digital Pyrometer or WM-1 Wall-Mount Pyrometer Lance.
SYSCON Sensors SUL thermocouple tips are constructed from convolute-wound paper tubes with a ceramic body thermocouple insert and moisture-resistant cement for accurate and quick temperature measurement. Convolute tubes have a slower burn rate and greater beam strength than spiral paper tubes. The small-diameter tube is designed for easy penetration in furnaces or ladles.

SYSCON Sensors Multi-Dip Type-K (MD-K) thermocouple is a high precision, non-splash probe, ideal for all furnaces and ladles when melting lower temperature metals and alloys. The Type-K tip is very long lasting – remaining reliable and accurate over hundreds of dips. The MD-K is available in various lengths and can be securely mounted on lances used with the SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld or WM-1 Wall-Mount Digital Pyrometers.
The Multi-Dip thermocouple tip is designed for foundries, continuous casting tundish, runners, furnace, ladle, and vacuum-melting operations. It meets clean melt requirements and does not contaminate metal.

SYSCON Sensors MD and NEW BMD Multi-Dip thermocouple is a high precision, non-splash probe, ideal for small furnaces and ladles in slag-free metal. The thermocouple tip is protected by a quartz tube, which provides quick and accurate measurements.
The MD model is ideal for small furnaces where only the quartz tube is dipped in molten metal. An optional reusable heat shield is available to extend the life of the contact block. The BMD variant includes a 3” ceramic shield for additional protection of the contact block and lance. The MD and BMD tips fit securely on the SYSCON Sensors TS-1 Handheld Digital Pyrometer or other standard units.
The Multi-Dip thermocouple tips are designed for investment casting foundries, continuous casting tundish, runners, furnace, ladle, and vacuum-melting operations. It meets clean melt requirements and does not contaminate metal. It is ideal for high-temperatures, alloy heats and small batches.
