Large Metal Foundry and Die Castingfor Die Casting Foundry Applications

When applied as a coating to ladles, runners, metalworking tools, pyrometer tubes, etc. POT AND LADLE COATING acts as a non-wetting insulating coating allowing liquid metal to roll off. This prevents tool attack by liquid metal and extends the life of the coated articles. It works well with zinc, lead, aluminum, and copper-base alloys.

Metalcasting Foundry TOOL-KOTE Large Metal Foundry and Die Casting is a specially prepared coating combining highly refractory materials with special liquid binders. With proper application, they provide and excellent protective coating for ladles troughs, plunger cups, thermocouple tubes, and other furnace tools. It has worked extremely well on immersible metal pumps for aluminum. Also used with cast iron permanent molds and pig molds.

The Hill and Griffith Company GLOOK™ products are formulated with special refractories, binders, suspension agents, and preservatives. Some are ready-to-use; thereby, eliminating inconsistencies of the homemade type. Others are easily diluted or dispersed in water to form stable suspensions. Both types are easy to use and provide excellent bonding characteristics.
